EZPAK Slows Aging and Alzheimer's

Nutritional Supplements Slow Aging and Alzheimer's Oct. 2010 The next time you hear some nay-sayer expert claim there's no evidence that vitamins and other supplements can affect your health show them this: A new study published in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition found that multivitamins can keep you younger, longer. It shows that people who take a daily multivitamin had longer telomeres (see below) and younger DNA. Another recent study from Oxford showed that three inexpensive B-vitamins taken in pill form daily for two years cut brain shrinkage by more than 30% in seniors, improved their memory and reduced their risk for Alzheimer's.
Telomeres are protective caps at the ends of chromosomes in our DNA. They can be found in every cell in our body, and are critical to youthful cell function. But as we age our telomeres get shorter and the shorter our telomeres, the older our cells behave, and the less able they are to defend against toxins and free radicals that damage our body. So we tend to become more susceptible to a wide variety of age-related diseases including Alzheimer's disease. Researchers at Harvard Medical School found a striking connection between telomere length and Alzheimer's.
But the good news is, if we can lengthen our telomeres, we'll likely be healthier and live better longer. And now this new study shows we can take a significant step toward doing that with nutritional supplements. But as Dr. Al Sears, MD notes in discussing this study, You can't take just any [vitamin pill]. There are specific vitamins that lengthen telomeres that your formula needs to have. Among those the study noted were vitamin B-12 and antioxidants, like vitamins C and E. Note your supplement should not contain the dl-alpha tocopherol form of vitamin E nor iron. It's long been known that iron supplements are not good for older men, and in this study women who took an iron pill had 9% shorter telomeres.
Several studies have noted that a variety of nutrients in combination are more likely to exert a protective effect on an aging brain and body. For example, in another controlled study conducted by the University of Pittsburgh scientists found that a potent blend of 34 antioxidants, taken for four months, improved memory performance in a large group of seniors (age 50-75). The blend included alpha lipoic acid, vit C, beta carotene, magnesium, niacinamide, B-6 and 12, and mixed forms of vitamin E.
Interestingly enough this formulation is very close to the nutraceutical EZPAK formula advertised here several months ago. In June we began an informal open label study of this formulation with seniors living in Northern Utah. The EZPAK contains all of the above noted vitamins, minerals and anti oxidants, plus more than 20 other important nutrients (see www.ezpaknutrition.com for a complete listing) but NO iron. Although the results have not been totally tabulated yet, the reports I have received after 3 months, are very much in accordance with those noted above. Most participants have noted a significant increase in energy. Those with diabetes, who stayed with it, experienced improved blood sugar control, as expected. One noted improved eyesight, several noted an improvement in cognitive functioning including memory enhancement. It's too early to tell if this helps a person to live longer, but it certainly seems to improve quality of life.
Moreover, since EZPAK contains only pure and natural ingredients, from the US or Europe (nothing from Asia) is physician and pharmacist formulated, using strict pharmaceutical grade inspection criteria we know it's safe, as well as effective.

The EZPAK formula is the culmination of two and one half years of research and clinical trials conducted by Dr. Osguthorpe, ND Fellow (Anti-aging, Regenerative and Functional Medicine) of Optimal Health Research. Believing the human body is designed to be healthy, with each cell knowing exactly what to do and how to go about doing it, Dr. Osguthorpe recognized the positive benefits nutraceuticals would have on the body. When produced in their purest form, nutraceuticals enhance and support these intended physiologic processes.

It is becoming increasingly important that each individual take responsibility for his or her own health. More than just helping individuals maintain good health, EZPAK Nutrition is dedicated to the development of optimal health and enjoyment of a healthy LIFESTYLE.
